Individual Coaching
During individual coaching, we address several questions about your life. The order may be different depending on your specific situation.
1. Where am I? In what parts of my life am I satisfied and in what parts am I unsatisfied?
2. In what direction am I headed? What are my values? What's important to me in how I live my life?
3. How do I move in that direction? What are my goals? Short, medium, long-term. Do my goals match my values?
4. How do I get started? Breaking down even my short-term goals into itty-bitty baby steps. So small that it would be silly not to do them.
5. Why am I stalled? Even when we have answered all the above questions and feel really, really good about it, we can get stuck. Then we dig into that baggage we've been hauling around since God knows when. That's when we start looking at what emotions you might be avoiding or what limiting beliefs and negative thoughts are holding you back, ("But what if...?").
Individual coaching can occur in person at my office or by phone. Each session lasts 50-60 minutes. Sessions are $100.
Group Coaching
Coming in 2012 - Fit + Full
Fit + Full was developed with my good friend, Kelly Leon. It started out as enthusiastic conversations at Panera and has evolved into a real-life, actual 'thing.'
We offer a four week program designed to decrease mindless overeating and increase activity (a little or a lot - it's up to you). Half of each 90-minute session is devoted to learning new strategies around paying attention to and loving what we eat and sharing our experiences. The other half of the session will be about moving your body. Kelly will guide you through a workout designed to meet your needs -whether you are a regular exerciser already or are totally new or out of practice. Fit + Full is not a traditional diet and exercise program. Our goal is for you to feel better about yourself now, even as you desire change. And we try to do that by creating an environment in which you feel like you belong because no one cares that you stood at your refrigerator eating cold rice-a-roni last night and haven't been to a real exercise class since college. We nod and chuckle together because we've all been there. Then we gently support each other by remembering why we wanted to make a change in the first place. And we figure out the next little step to take - one that doesn't involve deprivation or self-flagellation.
